The purpose of the Banking and Insurance Program is to develop qualified employees for banks, insurance companies, capital market intermediary institutions, international auditors, public financial institutions and similar organizations, equipped with basic, industry and legal knowledge of banking and insurance. In the framework of the basic principles of banking and insurance profession, the foundation of professional knowledge and experience is to develop an intermediate human force that is aware of occupational responsibility and labor ethics.”
Finance-Banking and Insurance Department; It was established in the 2008-2009 academic year to provide students with the necessary knowledge in the private sector and public administration by providing education in banking, insurance and finance. The aim of the department is to train the qualified personnel required by the sector with practical training. Banks, insurance companies, capital market brokerage houses, international audit companies, public financial institutions and similar institutions and organizations are the most important financial institutions in today's global economy. In this context, the students of the department are given basic information in line with the needs of the sector within 4 semesters, and the emphasis is given to applied courses by making sectoral and legal academic analyzes related to banking and insurance. It is aimed that the graduates of the program will contribute by meeting the needs of the banking and insurance sector and serve as entrepreneurial and innovative personnel with high communication skills, full self-confidence.
Fields of Study and Future Status of the Profession: Banks and other financial institutions are of unquestionable importance in the direction and the best assessment of funds, preserving economic balances. For this reason, qualified personnel who have grown in this area will always be needed. The department graduates are engaged in Capital Market Intermediary institutions, Credit Analysis, Banking, Insurance, International Supervisory companies, Public Finance institutions, Leasing companies, Reinsurance companies, Finance departments of businesses, Small and Medium Business Business activities.
